APCON Honors staff with Long Service Award






Present and past staff members of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) were last week celebrated by the council for their contributions to the growth of advertising industry in Nigeria.
Those honoured include some members who have dedicated their time in working for the industry for over 10 years and above, and also the past chairmen of Council and Registrars who devoted their time in ensuring the growth of APCON.
The present Council chairman, Lolu Akinwunmi congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to continue with their hard work and “ensure that APCON is taken to a greater height.” He also congratulated the past chairmen of Council and registrars whom he described as role models in the Nigeria advertising industry.
Also at the occasion, the registrar, Garba Bello Kankarofi urged the award recipients to continue working for APCON, and also appreciated the past Council chairmen and registrars whom he described as the founding fathers of the industry.
In his comment, a past Council chairman, Olu Falomo, expressed joy at the occasion and advised the awardees to see the award as a blessing from God and put in more effort in ensuring “that APCON is given a brighter image across Nigeria and the world at large.”
