APCON JUNE 6 & 7 TRAINING PROGRAM

                                        trains Ad Practitioners on                           
                        Challenges of Message Development                     in Communications Strategy

As part of its professional development programme, the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON, will on Wednesday, June 6, and Thursday, June 7, 2012, host a seminar on Challenges of Message Development in Communications Strategy. 

The seminar will take place at Lagos Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, and will focus on how to develop appropriate message and maintain consistency across media, how to obtain and analyze consumer insights that would guide message development.

According to the Head, Planning, Registration and Career Matters, APCON, Mr. Joe Eugene Onuorah, the seminar is targeted at Marketing/Brand Managers, Senior Accounts Management and Creative Personnel in Ad Agencies, Communication Advisers and Speech Writers, Information and Public Relations Officers in government ministries, agencies, Parastatals and other Public establishments, Lecturers and Consultants in Public Communications.

Mr. Onuorah said that the resource persons who will facilitate the seminar include Jimi Awosika, Managing Director, Insight Communications, Ikechi Odigbo, Managing Director, DDB Lagos, Akpo Daniyan, Head, Corporate Communications, Diamond Bank, Kenny Bademosi, Creative Director, Centrespread/CIO, Orange Academy and Taire Eyitemi, Marketing Manager (West Africa Area) British American Tobacco.

Topics to be discussed by the facilitators include building brand promise on consumer experience; delivering and supporting the brand promise consistently across communications platforms; message development process and copywriting skills; tools for obtaining and analyzing consumer insights in message development and putting the consumer in the message or the message on the consumer.
